Are you interested in yarncrafting with a spin on community service? Join us for an evening of crochet and knitting at Southport! A new project, skill, and donation recipient will be featured at each meeting, with options for beginners and experienced crafters alike.
The program will meet the first Monday of every other month starting in April. If you cannot attend a meeting but would like to participate by donating or using our supplies, stop by the Southport Reference Desk or call 317-275-4510 for information!
Hooks, needles, and other supplies will be available for in-house use, and project participants will be provided yarn to get them started. Project donation is encouraged, but completely optional. Feel free to stop by with your own project if you have something in progress!

The Southport Branch began in 1967 as a small storefront in the Madison Square Shopping Center. Following acquisition of a site for a larger facility, the new 15,700-square-foot library opened in 1974 on East Stop 11 Road. Even before the move occurred, a group of Perry Township residents demonstrated support by raising more than $5,000 to provide additional books for the new library.
