Mariposas de Jade (Jade Butterflies) is a group exhibition of women artists of Latina heritage. This group exhibition will connect the audience with diverse styles and influences. Each artist showcases their unique way to express themselves using their preferred medium.
This exhibition is curated by Gissela Montoya and Arte Mexicano en Indiana.
"Mariposas de Jade" es una exposición colectiva de mujeres artistas de ascendencia latina. Esta exposición colectiva conecta al público con diversos estilos e influencias. Cada artista muestra su forma única de expresarse utilizando su medio preferido. Exposición curada por Gissela Montoya y Arte Mexicano en Indiana.
La exhibición Mariposas de Jade se exhibirá del 2 de mayo al 3 de junio en Simon Room y Yellow Gallery. La recepción tendrá lugar el día 5 de mayo de 14:00 a 16:00 horas en el Salón Simón.

About the branch
As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
