Children 3-6 are invited to a virtual Library visit! Join us from home to sing along, listen to a story, see new places, and meet amazing people. Members of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra use their instruments to tell a story. Visit https://bit.ly/readingreadytime for this program.
Reading Ready Time is a virtual library experience specifically designed to help children 3-6 years old get ready to read and connect with the Library. Programs will be available for a limited time following the premiere on our YouTube channel.
Members of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra use their instruments to tell the story of a boy who believes a giant and his violin are living in the attic above him. This concert encourages children to listen to the individual instruments as they are played together. Identifying differences in musical sounds is one of the Indiana Standards for Kindergarten (K.6.1). You can encourage this development by playing with sounds while singing in the car, banging on different surfaces, or listening to a variety of musical instruments.

This is not a real library branch - this is the "location" for our events that occur online. Online events that take place on Zoom should all involve registration and a link will be emailed to participants. Other online events may occur on YouTube or Facebook, and will not require registration.
