A day all about reading and writing! Meet local authors at the book fair and purchase books from them, listen in to readings from the authors, attend writing workshops and panel discussions, network with other writers and related organizations, and leave inspired!
Check out the Local Author Book Fair, featuring nearly 50 recently-published writers and their works from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 pm.
Beginning at 11 a.m. attend writing workshops and panel discussions.
Chat with IndyPL Book Selectors, the Indiana Writers Center, the Indiana State Library, Speed City Sisters in Crime, and others in the writing and book world. You can also network with other readers and writers throughout the day!
AND, check out the Readings Cafe starting at 11 a.m., where some of our local authors will be giving readings from their works!

As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
