Discover the art of transforming recycled newspaper and old book pages into beautiful, handcrafted jewelry! In this one-time workshop, students will learn how to create unique paper beads using simple techniques and tools. We’ll explore different ways to roll, shape, and seal the paper beads for a variety of styles and sizes. Once the beads are ready, students will combine them with traditional beads and cords to design and craft their own custom necklaces and bracelets. By the end of the session, each participant will leave with a new piece of eco-friendly jewelry and the skills to continue creating at home. No prior experience necessary; all materials will be provided. Join us for a fun, hands-on class and give new life to recycled paper!

The InfoZone opened within The Children's Museum of Indianapolis in 2000 as a unique partnership to serve both museum visitors and neighborhood patrons. In 2009, the 3,000 square-foot facility relocated to Level 2 of the museum, as InfoZone continues its mission to serve as a productive laboratory for the two institutions of informal education.
