During this late-night drop-in craft session, adult and senior patrons are welcome to learn a new skill, get help with current projects, or just stop by for some creative craft time.
Destress after a day at work with Crafter Hours, a late-night drop-in craft session. Patrons are more than welcome to help themselves to our yarn, jewelry making supplies, paper, sewing machine, or Cricut. A pre-planned craft will be available for those who currently don't have any projects they are working on but would still like to join in the fun. Stay for five minutes, or stay for an hour and a half, this drop-in craft session allows you to come and go as you please! Crafter Hours will take place in our Community Room, typically on the last Tuesday of every month (exceptions in March and June), from 6:00-7:30pm. Registration is not required.
The Brightwood Branch opened in 1901 as the sixth public library in Indianapolis. It served the Brightwood community at several locations along Station Street, one street west of its current North Sherman Avenue storefront site which opened in 1972. A 1996 renovation at this location doubled the size of the branch to 5,400 square feet. In 2020, a brand-new branch building, across the street from the previous branch, was completed and re-named as the Martindale-Brightwood Branch.
