Children 3-6 are invited to a virtual Library visit! Join Suzanne Walker, children’s librarian for the Indiana State Library, for a storytime all about birds.
Reading Ready Time is a virtual library experience specifically designed to help children 3-6 years old get ready to read and connect with the Library. Programs will be available for a limited time following the premiere on our YouTube channel.
Additional resources to enhance learning:
- Check out some books! This list of bird books from our collection has fun and funny titles to choose from.
- Songs and fingerplays help build early literacy skills and engage the wiggliest of children. Try these bird-themed songs with your group.
- Ever find a bird’s nest? Amazing to see how the sticks and strands are all woven together. Give your children the chance to try creating their own nest with scraps and found objects.

This is not a real library branch - this is the "location" for our events that occur online. Online events that take place on Zoom should all involve registration and a link will be emailed to participants. Other online events may occur on YouTube or Facebook, and will not require registration.
