Come learn the art of collage! The beautiful thing about collage is that you can make a masterpiece out of ANYTHING. Photos, paper, drawing, painting, stamping, buttons, shapes - you name it! Put it all together, you've got a collage. Join us for our recurring school age program to get started!
Join us for Saturday Smarties at College Ave, a time just for school-age kids (ages 6-12) to hang out, be social and creative, and try new things, every other Saturday. For our only meeting in April, we'll be exploring the art of making collages! We'll talk about what a collage is, look at some examples together, and then get started making our own! Bring your creativity, we've got everything else you'll need!
Established as the Broadway Branch in 1924, the library served the neighborhood from a frame house on E. 42nd Street until 1958 when a 6,500-square-foot facility opened on Broadway Street. This aging and overcrowded building was replaced in August 2000 with the current 16,000-square-foot structure on College Avenue that was renamed the College Avenue Branch.
