We are back for another Anaphora! This event showcases local zine makers with a focus on poetry.
We are back for another Anaphora! This event showcases local zine makers with a focus on poetry, selling or trading their work.
This year we have several things going on throughout the day:
11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Block Printing Workshop with artist Jager Palad; 16 seats available, sign up in person the day of the event.
2-3 p.m. Open Mic; sign up to perform at the open mic the day of the event in person.
Also throughout the day there will be an open zine making station for folks to work on pages for Anaphora Issue 4. This will be the first print of Railroad City Bookmobile's collection as they transition from Gluestick! Supplies are provided but feel free to bring your own as well. We will collect the pages at the end of the event and print the zine later this summer. Come ready to put your words on paper and please fill out your author info while you're there so we can properly credit you!
We can't wait to get together again and share all of the Anaphora vibes that have carried us over the years with all of you. See you in June!

The first library to serve the neighborhood opened in 1957 as the Emerson Branch. This frame house near East 38th Street and North Emerson Avenue soon became too small to meet the neighborhood's needs, leading to the construction of a 7,500-square-foot branch at the same location in 1962. The Emerson Branch closed its doors in 2003 when the current 16,000-square-foot library opened as the East Thirty-Eighth Street Branch.
