This workshop is for everyone, but is designed especially for older adults who want to understand loneliness, the ways it can impact us, and build connections. Join us whether you are experiencing connection challenges or you have someone in your life you would like to help.
Join healthcare professionals from Changing Tides Counseling to learn more about loneliness and learn some simple ways to stay emotionally connected. Participants will engage in memory sharing or connection mapping and leave with a resource list and personal connection card to help navigate their daily life.
You might also find this list inspired by Dr. Vivek Murthy's book Together.
Registration is not required for this class, but encouraged to help plan the takeaway items.
The Southport Branch began in 1967 as a small storefront in the Madison Square Shopping Center. Following acquisition of a site for a larger facility, the new 15,700-square-foot library opened in 1974 on East Stop 11 Road. Even before the move occurred, a group of Perry Township residents demonstrated support by raising more than $5,000 to provide additional books for the new library.
