Children 3-6 are invited to a virtual Library visit! Join us from home to sing along, listen to a story, see new places, and meet amazing people. This week, members of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra visit for the story-concert, The Big Note, by Victoria Griswold.
Reading Ready Time is a virtual library experience specifically designed to help children 3-6 years old get ready to read and connect with the Library. We hope this program will help them make a connection, building on their path to becoming lifelong learners. In this week's episode, a young boy searches through the instruments of the orchestra to find a big note he hears at a concert. Familiar works of Grieg, Saint-Saens, Beethoven, Bizet, and Sousa are performed as children are invited to move along with the music by making train wheels with their fists, butterflies with their fingers, and swaying back and forth like trees as they watch musicians perform. Other Reading Ready Time episodes can be found on our YouTube channel.
