Adults interested in physical computing are invited for some hands-on tinkering with an Arduino Microcontroller. We will use a beginner-friendly starter kit to build a simple color-changing light system; explore the basics of microcontrollers with Arduino, a breadboard, and LED lights.
Participants will also do some basic coding in the Arduino web editor with a C-based programming language. No previous coding experience is necessary, but participants should be comfortable using a mouse, keyboard, and a web browser. Computers and tools will be available, but attendees are welcome to bring their own laptop, multi-meter, and small tools. You must already have an email account. This program will be held in the Computer Lab on the 1st Floor. Code Café is made possible by the Friends of the Library through a gift to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
