As part of the Indy Jazz Fest, "Connecting Cultures and Global Jazz," join Pavel and Direct Contact with musicians Javier Vargas, Miguel Montas and Luis Mojica from the Dominican Republic for an immersive experience featuring the music and culture of the Dominican Republic.
Prior to this program, the International Marketplace will showcase different types of music from around the world from 2 - 3 p.m. outdoors in the Library's East Garden.
As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
