Hear hip-hop legend Cey Adams, creative director of Def Jam Recordings, speak on the revolutionary power of art. Adams will discuss his career, his contributions to hip-hop, and how art acts a catalyst for dialogue and change. Local artists will share their thoughts and lead a community art project.
This program, to be held in Central Library's Clowes Auditorium, is presented by the Library and the Kheprw Institute's art and cultural assembly, The Build, as part of this year's Spirit & Place Festival.

As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
