As part of the Library's "Meet the Artists XXXII" exhibit that continues through March 29 at Central Library and features works by prominent local African American artists, all ages are invited for tours of the exhibit, painting demonstrations, programs presented by participating artists, and more.
“Meet the Artists XXXII” is made possible by the Christel DeHaan Family Foundation and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation. It is presented by the Library’s African American History Committee in support of the Center for Black Literature & Culture at Central Library.

As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
