Get Your Feet Wet in Javascript and Google’s Applied Digital Skills

Session 1 - October 28, Session 2 - November 21

Join in this 2 session program to learn what resources are available to learn computer coding and web design. The program is designed to provide simple exposure to JavaScript programming, and to help you decide if you might want to dive in as a new career or as a hobby.

This event is being held as an online meeting/webinar. You will be emailed login instructions approximately 24 hours before the event.

In both sessions we will walk through a tutorial on coding a Javascript progress bar for use in a Google Sheets presentation, and then get an overview of the Grasshopper Javascript Tutorial App. Use the app to learn and practice Javascript for 15 minutes a day before session 2 on November 21, where we’ll revisit the progress bar program with our new knowledge, and practice reading code from other simple projects. We’ll then explore some other resources for learning Javascript and other coding languages, including Free Code School and more.
