Chinese New Year | Performing Art

Join the Indiana Association of Chinese Americans and The Indianapolis Public Library to celebrate the Chinese New Year- Year of the Ox!

On the Performing Art program you will be able to see a Piano Solo by Weng Yi of "Cloud Chasing the Moon" a Chinese Contemporary Classic, "My Heart Will Go On" by Jerry Wang, "Autumn" by Jason Yang, Jessica Yang, Jerry Jang and Kwan Hui, Jasmine Flower and a "Hunan Folk Song" by Soprano Li Huang, "The Fisherman's Evening" - Gu Zheng solo by Jerry Yang, "Ambush From All Sides" PiPa Solo by Anna Sum, "Picking Tea Leaves While Catching Butterflies" and Folk Songs Medley by the Indianapolis Chinese Orchestra, Big Drum music by IACA, traditional dances Love Lotus Dance, Good Luck is Coming Dance,
Flowers in March, Fan Dance, and a contemporary dance Xiaokang Cha Cha by ICPAI Angel, Dragon Dance by ICCCI, Lion Dance by IACA, and a Theatrical Dance of the Yunnan Ethnic People by Indianapolis Chinese Orchestra, Show Group, Soprano Li Huang and ICCCI Singers. The program finishes up with a photo album on IACA’s participation in Hoosier’s community celebrations.
