Join Champlain College professor David Mills as he explores the theories of human health that have shaped and reshaped buildings and cities in the last two centuries, from modern to postmodern and beyond.

The designs of our buildings and the skylines of our cities are constantly changing, and many of these changes have come in response to public health crises. Competing economic interests, conflicting understandings of human nature, and emerging technologies combine to remake the built environment in pursuit of health and well being.

David Mills is Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Dean of the Core Division at Champlain College in Burlington, VT.
