Join us for the Contemporary Mexican Film Festival 2022. Through the months of September and October, the Mexican Consulate and IndyPL will be partnering to showcase stories from Mexico. Films will be shown in the Clowes Auditorium at the Indianapolis Public Library.

It´s an ordinary Friday morning at Panamerican Machinery Inc., a company specialized in selling and repairing machines for construction and demolition. The employees are already winding down for the weekend, engaging in little rituals and routines when an unexpected turn of events shakes their peaceful monotony. Don Alejandro, the boss, lies dead at the back of the warehouse. This discovery changes everything: the company is bankrupt; the elderly workforce has no prospects of employment elsewhere and no hope for any retirement funds. In a state of confusion, fear, and grief they agree to lock themselves in their workplace. 2016, Fiction, 88 min. The film will be be shown in Spanish with English subtitles.
Parece un viernes de trabajo cualquiera en Maquinaria Panamericana S. A., una empresa especializada en la venta y reparación de maquinaria para la construcción y la destrucción. As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
