Adults are invited to a free, four-part diabetes education series by the Marion County Health Department. Topics include eating healthier, increasing activity, taking medications, and preventing complications. Attendees should plan to attend all four sessions.
The ABCs of Diabetes program is accredited by the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialist. This four-part series includes instruction on medications, nutrition, exercise, monitoring, complications and available community resources. This program is free and open to anyone with diabetes, pre-diabetes, and their family members and friends.

A new library for the rapidly-expanding area of suburban Washington Township was made possible by the donation of a 2.56 acre lot from Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Eiteljorg in 1968. The Nora Branch opened in 1971 on North Guilford Avenue and was expanded to 18,500-square-feet in 1990.
