Kids are invited to flex their creative muscles and building skills at our Block Party! Join us for our bi-monthly school-age program at the College Avenue branch library! This week, we'll be putting our skills to the test with different types of blocks - try the build challenge or free-build!
Join us for Saturday Smarties at College Ave, a time just for school-age kids (ages 6-12) to hang out, be social and creative, and try new things, every other Saturday. This time, we'll be having a Block Party! Blocks will be provided, please do NOT bring your own blocks. There will be a special BUILD CHALLENGE at each program, but attendees are welcome to simply build whatever they are inspired to build with the blocks provided. Registration is NOT required, just encouraged!
Established as the Broadway Branch in 1924, the library served the neighborhood from a frame house on E. 42nd Street until 1958 when a 6,500-square-foot facility opened on Broadway Street. This aging and overcrowded building was replaced in August 2000 with the current 16,000-square-foot structure on College Avenue that was renamed the College Avenue Branch.
