Become tech savvy seniors! This program has been crafted for learners ages 50+ who are ready to explore the internet. Exploring topics such as managing privacy, spotting scams, how you create a digital footprint. Suggestions, tips, and tricks will be presented to help manage your privacy.

While all ages are invited to attend this series, it has been carefully crafted learners ages 50+. This series will help you get caught up on browsing basics and help you develop a fuller understanding of cache, browsing history, captchas, bots, forms, and other internet terms you've heard people discuss.

Week 1 - Start Using the Internet

We introduce you to several different internet browser options, go over some universal navigation icons, and provide guidance on filling out online forms.

Week 2 - Accounts & Data

We introduce best practices for protecting your passwords and logins, help you understand browsing history, and have a conversation about bots online.

Week 3 - Your Footprint & Email

We’ll explore how your digital footprint is created, what it reveals, and how to spot unsafe emails and scams before they reach you.

Week 4 - Tips, Tricks, & Next Level Skills

In our final week we will recap the series essentials, discuss customizing your browser, speeding up searching with shortcuts, printing from the web, and answer any questions you may have.

Each week has a separate session that you can register for. See calendar for more details about times, dates, and locations.

About the branch

A new library for the rapidly-expanding area of suburban Washington Township was made possible by the donation of a 2.56 acre lot from Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Eiteljorg in 1968. The Nora Branch opened in 1971 on North Guilford Avenue and was expanded to 18,500-square-feet in 1990.
