3:00pm - 4:00pm
Playing is important for kids and it’s just as important for our pets! Learn how to create a playful, enriching environment at home for your pets. Create an enrichment activity for your pet or donate it to an animal waiting for a home at IndyHumane. This program is for kids ages 6-12.
Please register individual children attending program, not adults.
Due to limited workshop space, we cannot accommodate camps and childcare groups at this program.
Made possible by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
East 38th Street Branch
The first library to serve the neighborhood opened in 1957 as the Emerson Branch. This frame house near East 38th Street and North Emerson Avenue soon became too small to meet the neighborhood's needs, leading to the construction of a 7,500-square-foot branch at the same location in 1962. The Emerson Branch closed its doors in 2003 when the current 16,000-square-foot library opened as the East Thirty-Eighth Street Branch.
