Summer Reading Sendoff - Trivia and Prizes
Saturday, July 25
2:00pm - 4:00pm
Want to test your knowledge? Come join us for a Summer Reading Sendoff in the community room for some trivia, games, and the chance to win some prizes! All are welcome.
This program is located in the community room, on the left side of the hallway after you enter the building. To your left when you enter will be a variety of trivia sheets, coloring pages, and other activities available to grab from the table and sit anywhere available on the other side of the room with. Staff will always be available in the room to answer any questions.
It tends to vary in noise level, typically louder when younger children attend, but we have fidget toys, noise-cancelling headphones, and sunglasses available for use during the program for anyone who wants to!
Haughville Branch
The longest continuously-operating branch in the IndyPL system began on the city’s east side in 1896 but moved to the village of Haughville after 1897. The branch’s many homes included the former town hall on Germania Avenue in which a fire in 1904 partially destroyed the building. After the fire, a storefront in the Michigan Plaza Shopping Center was constructed that operated until 2003, when the current 12,000-square-foot library opened on West Michigan Street.
