Explore the foundations of playwriting/dramatic writing in this class.
In this 90-minute workshop, participants will read a short play, learning the basics of playwriting/dramatic writing, learn where playwrights get ideas, conceive/build an outline for a play of their own, and learn how they can build playwriting skill going forward if they're interested.
This workshop is presented in partnership with the Indiana Writers Center. Check out other writing workshops at library branches this season!
Instructor Andrew Black built a playwriting education program serving both novices and advanced students through the Indiana Writers Center, founded the Indiana Playwrights Circle, and has taught playwriting and more extensively through the University of Missouri-Columbia, the Dramatists Guild Institute, and the Indiana Repertory Theatre.
