Join Maker Crafts and Hoosier Zines as we learn zine making and its role in community building!
Zines are exactly what they sound like - a short form magazine! DIY, locally distributed, and about anything under the sun! Charlie and Zack of Hoosier Zines are going to show us the basics with a "How to build a Zine" zine! We'll learn different folding and presentation methods, topic ideas, and how zines are important for community care. We'll have time to get creative and make our very own zines to take home.
All supplies provided and space limited. Registration is required. This class will take place in room 148, on the 1st floor of Central Library.
As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
