Join us for this bonus concert featuring Liudmyla Chychuk, Ukrainian Concert Pianist. This concert is free and open to the public.

Liudmyla Chychuk is a Ukrainian concert pianist, renowned educator and founder of «Power of Arts» project that introduces Ukrainian music, literature, art,
and folk traditions to audiences in Ukraine and around the world. She has been teaching at Mykola Lysenko Kyiv State Music Lyceum for twenty years. As a concert pianist, she regularly performs classical, jazz, and folk music throughout Ukraine and abroad.

Since the Crimea annexation in 2014, Liudmyla has brought the power of music to help Ukraianians affected by Russian invasion. She gave numerous charitable concerts helping the war victims and supporting defenders on the frontlines.

Liudmyla’s upcoming trip to the United States includes a series of concerts featuring works by contemporary composers from two distant lands, Ukraine
and Vietnam. The audience will hear music stemmed from and nourished by rich ancient cultures of these countries.

The performance lasts approximately 90 minutes, with a 10 minute intermission. The program includes piano performance of masterpieces written in modern,
folk and jazz style, poetry reading and a slide show featuring pictures of Ukrainian cities taken by talented Ukrainian journalist and photographer Olena Maksymenko, exclusive pictures by unique Ukrainian ethnographer Anna Senik.

Liudmyla is grateful to United Help Ukraine charitable organization for their help in organizing and sponsoring the tour.

This and all Circulating Sound concerts are made possible by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
