All adults who enjoy writing, sketching, mixed media crafting, creative expression, and making journals are invited to come to Central's Makerspace for creative visual art journaling! Come join in to make your own spiral bound journal as well as crafting visual art designs inside its pages.
Feel free to also bring your own personal journals and craft materials from home. Additionally, basic art materials will also be provided including mixed media, colored pencils, markers, paints, ribbon, mixed media, paper scraps, scissors, craft glue, magazine cut-outs and more.
Visual art journaling can be healing and therapeutic with making art inspired from your own life experiences within a safe, welcoming and all-inclusive space. Hosting this program will be Stephanie, a Public Service Librarian with experience in junk journaling.

As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
