Children 3-6 are invited to a virtual Library visit! Join us from home to sing along, listen to a story, see new places, and meet amazing people. Members of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra lead us in a story-filled musical adventure, The Garden Symphony.

Reading Ready Time is a virtual library experience specifically designed to help children 3-6 years old get ready to read and connect with the Library.  We hope this program will help them make a connection, building on their path to becoming lifelong learners. In this week's episode, we hear the story of a ladybug’s search through the garden for her own special song. The Garden Symphony introduces the oboe, violin, clarinet, cello, and harp. These five instruments are part of the string and woodwind sections of the symphony orchestra. Musical selections include excerpts from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee, Handel’s Harp Concerto, and Pachelbel’s Canon.Other Reading Ready Time episodes can be found on our YouTube channel
