The M Factor Screening
with WFYI
Join WFYI for a partial screening of M Factor 1, a documentary about menopause. The screening will be followed by a discussion with local health experts (this screening is a nice addition to the M Factor 2 Screening on March 24th, but can be enjoyed without seeing that part).
Menopause is a silent epidemic that affects the health and well‑being of millions of American women. In addition to experiencing traumatic physical symptoms, women are struggling with the related stresses of billions of dollars in lost wages, upended careers, family disruptions, and emotional chaos.
This film confronts this neglected crisis, challenges societal and medical shortcomings and advocates for a revolutionary approach to women's health all over the world.

About the branch
The longest continuously-operating branch in the IndyPL system began on the city’s east side in 1896 but moved to the village of Haughville after 1897. The branch’s many homes included the former town hall on Germania Avenue in which a fire in 1904 partially destroyed the building. After the fire, a storefront in the Michigan Plaza Shopping Center was constructed that operated until 2003, when the current 12,000-square-foot library opened on West Michigan Street.
