Reading Ready Time - Talking Hands

Children 3-6 are invited to a virtual Library visit! Join us from home to sing along, listen to a story, see new places, and meet amazing people. Join our favorite American Sign Language interpreter Hilari as she shares stories and signs in American Sign Language. 

Reading Ready Time is a virtual library experience specifically designed to help children 3-6 years old get ready to read and connect with the Library.  We hope this program will help them make a connection, building on their path to becoming lifelong learners. In this week's episode, Talking Hands, children have the opportunity to learn about American Sign Language. Children begin to develop empathy between the ages of 4-8.  Introducing young children to other cultures can help build understanding and tolerance. Other Reading Ready Time episodes can be found on our YouTube channel.
