Reading Ready Time is a virtual library experience specifically designed to help children 3-6 years old get ready to read and connect with the Library. We hope this program will help them make a connection, building on their path to becoming lifelong learners. In this week's episode, Fire Safety, we visit Survive Alive! and the Indianapolis Firefighters Museum. There is more to fire safety than stop, drop, and roll. Learn to identify dangers and what to do if a fire happens near you. Other Reading Ready Time episodes can be found on our YouTube channel.

- Preschool Plan It developed a collection of fire safety thematic activities. There are all kinds of activities including dramatic play and snacks.
- FEMA has a printable coloring book that would be a nice family activity. It covers safety rules and has a place to diagram your room, marking safe exits.
