Join us for the Contemporary Mexican Film Festival 2022. Through the months of September and October, the Mexican Consulate and IndyPL will be partnering to showcase stories from Mexico. Films will be shown in the Clowes Auditorium at the Indianapolis Public Library.

During the Mexican Revolution, in a forgotten small miner town lives an eleven-year-old boy that everybody calls Gapo. Something unexpected happens, forcing him to go look for his elder brother El Damián, a very well-known hero in the Revolution. He won´t be alone on this journey, along with him will go Juan Escopeta, a gunman for hire with a mission that'll be essential to story. 2011. Animation. 92 min. As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
