Join us for the opening reception of the We Are Indy Arts exhibit featuring minority woman visual artists on Sep. 8th. The 6th Annual Women of Color reception will take place at Central Library in the Simon Reading Room. The exhibit is available for viewing between September 2nd- 28th, 2026.
An art exhibition paying tribute to Women of Color visual artists, whose artistry transcends boundaries and enriches the tapestry of art and culture. Through our creations, we enrich our world, reminding us of the beauty that emerges when diverse voices find their rightful place on the palette of artistic expression.

As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
