International Make Music Day
with Forward Motion
Sunday, June 21
2:00pm - 3:30pm
This special performance involves YOU creating artwork (supplies provided) and then musicians PERFORMING that artwork live. You won't want to miss this cool experience to hear your (or others) visual art brought to life in the Clowes Auditorium!
This concert features Forward Motion helping us learn about and do some graphic scoring. Graphic scoring (or graphic notation) is a process where artwork often includes symbols for musicians - who perform the artwork. This is your chance to come receive a bit of guidance then spend some time creating art - and hear your artwork performed at the end of the session!
This special Circulating Sound Concert celebrates International Make Music Day! Celebrated every June 21 around the world, we are excited to showcase your creativity and think about art through several lenses.
The Circulating Sound Concert Series features live music at Central Library and at branches throughout the system. Join us for concerts featuring local artists performing a variety of musical styles, genres, and communities in Marion County. Learn about concerts at other Library locations.

Central Library
As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
