Find Your Fire: Brand Strategy for Small Business Owners
2026 Small Business Series
Tuesday, June 23
6:00pm - 7:00pm
Most small businesses can tell you what they sell. The ones that grow can tell you why it matters, and say it in a way that makes the right customers choose them. This hands-on workshop closes that gap.
In one hour, you'll work through the same brand strategy exercises used by professional agencies to help you identify what makes your business genuinely different, who you're actually talking to, and how to say it in plain language that converts. You'll leave with a worksheet full of your own words; the raw material for a pitch, a homepage, or a social media presence that actually sounds like you.
No jargon. No slides full of theory. Just real work that you can use the next day to grow your business.
Facilitator Bio
Chris Bailey has sat across the table from a lot of business owners who are great at what they do but struggle to explain why someone should choose them over a competitor. As Strategy Director at Matchbook, a branding agency based in Indianapolis, that's exactly the problem he helps solve. With a background spanning global brands, local businesses, and academic communication research, Chris brings a rigorous but practical approach to brand strategy. He believes the best marketing starts not with a campaign, but with a clear, honest answer to one question: why you?
